Woman Stabs Ex-Lover as He Pilots Plane in Guyana

GEORGETOWN, Guyana A young Guyanese journalist was charged on Thursday with attempting to kill her former lover after she allegedly attacked him with a knife while he piloted a Cessna aircraft carrying her and two other passengers. Sharon Lall, 21, appeared in a court in Georgetown charged with trying to murder pilot Yacoob Mazaharally, 24. Police said Lall had stabbed Mazaharally in the neck and the shoulder shortly after his plane had taken off on an internal flight Monday. Another female passenger wrestled the knife from Lall while the wounded Mazaharally brought the plane back to the airstrip, police said.
